RESOLUTION NO. 2005-470
APPROVING AN AMENDMENT TO THE PERSONNEL POLICY
WHEREAS, changes in state or federal law affect the provisions of the City's Personnel
Policy; and
WIffiREAS, the State Legislature has mandated that cities provide additional leave to
employees who are reinstated from military; and
WIffiREAS, the mandate does not provide for a time limit on the use of such leave; and
WHEREAS, the City Manager has recommended that we pay the returning employee in
cash for any amount over the limits provided in contract or policy;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED by the City Council of the City
of Plymouth, Minnesota, that it should and hereby does approve an amendment to the
Personnel Policy in Section 3-7, thereof, providing the employee returning from military
duty a cash payout for leave accrued above the maximum allowed.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the above amendment will be effective on
December 14, 2005.
Adopted by the City Council on December 13, 2005.
