RESOLUTION NO. 2005-455
AUTHORIZING THE MAYOR AND CITY MANAGER
TO ENTER INTO A CONTRACT AGREEMENT WITH
HENNEPIN COUNTY FOR GRANT ADMINISTRATION SERVICES
FOR GRANT FUNDS AWARDED THROUGH THE
U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth, joined with Hennepin County and the cities of
Bloomington, Brooklyn Center, Brooklyn Park, Maple Grove, Minneapolis, Richfield,
and St. Louis Park to submit a grant application to the Department of Justice for the 2005
Edward Byrne Memorial Justice Assistance Grant; and
WHEREAS, we have been noticed that our grant application has been approved; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has agreed to act as the grantee for the fiinds and serve as
fiscal agent for the grant; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth qualifies for $16,126 under the grant, which can be
used for police equipment and/or overtime; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has asked all participating cities to enter into an
agreement with them for Grant Administration Services and provided Contract No.
A052191,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED that the Mayor and City Manager are hereby
authorized to enter into a contract agreement for grant administration services with
Hennepin County for grant fiinds received through the U.S. Department of Justice.
