HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2005-404CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2005-404 APPROVING REVISIONS TO THE PLYMOUTH GOOSE MANAGEMENT PROGRAM WHEREAS, the Environmental Quality Committee (EQC) has studied the current practices in controlling the goose population in the City; and WHEREAS, the EQC recognizes the need to better meet the needs of the City with available budget; and WHEREAS, the staff has prepared an annual report, and WHEREAS, the EQC has reviewed the program has forward a recommendation to the City Council to approve the program with appropriate changes; and WHEREAS, the City Council has received and reviewed the EQC recommendations; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That 1. Goose removal in Private Sites will be conducted only after fiill payment, based on the CGP's survey, has been received. 2. The cost sharing for the Public Areas will be increased from 50% to 100%, similar to the City Sites, where City pays for 100% of the goose removal cost 3. All sites must follow the program's prevention guidelines to qualify for cost sharing. Adopted by the City Council on October 25, 2005.
