RESOLUTION NO. 2005-390
APPROVING LAYOUT NO. 4
COUNTY ROADSTATE AID HIGHWAY 101
12TH AVENUE TO 30TH PLACE NORTH
CITY PROJECT NO. 5102
WHEREAS, Hennepin County has prepared and is presenting Layout No. 4, County Project No.
9516 showing the proposed improvement of County ReadState Aid Highway (CSAR) 101
between 12"' Avenue and 30'h Place N orth; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County is requesting approval from the City for the layout—and prohibition
of on -street parking within the project area; and
WHEREAS, the City a4s e�ae,ding the pfape-sedLayaut No. 4 shows elimination of access
to County Road 101 at Merrimac Lane west of County Road 101, 24"' Avenue east of County
Road 101, Queensland Lane west of County Road 101 and 26"' Avenue east of County Road 101;
and
WHEREAS, the layout also proposes to realign 19"' Avenue and 25"'/26"' Avenues to eliminate
the offset intersections and improve sight distances; and
WHEREAS, representatives of Hennepin County believe the City's cost sharing concerns can be
resolved within 90 days and;
WHEREAS, the City is desirous of the completion of Cate t Rea CASH 101 improvements and
has the proposed project in the City's Capital Improvements Program for the years 2006 and
2007;
NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED: That said layout (Layout No. 4) be in all things
approved for its design elements only, and that Hennepin County is authorized by the City to
proceed with final design with the following provisions:
1. Approval of the layout does not obligate the City to pay any fiinds without fiirther
City Council action.
2. The cooperative cost sharing and maintenance agreement will be the subject of a
separate City Council action.
3. The trail on the west side of CSAH 101 is to remain as currently depicted on
Layout No. 4.

FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that on -street parking of motor vehicles along CSAH 101 from
12"' Avenue and 30"' Place North is prohibited at all times.
