RESOLUTION 2005-342
AMENDING RESOLUTION 2001-106 AND APPROVING THE ADOPTION OF A
REVISED CITIZEN PARTICIPATION PLAN FOR THE COMMUNITY
DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the Department of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) requires Community
Development Block Grant (CDBG) entitlement communities to establish a Citizen Participation
Plan encouraging public participation in the development and evaluation of CDBG fiinded
activities; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth City Council adopted Resolution Number 2001-106 on March 20,
2001 that established a Citizen Participation Plan for the City of Plymouth; and
WHERAS, the City of Plymouth is part of the Hennepin County Consortium and is covered
under the Hennepin County Consortium's Consolidated Plan; and
WHEREAS, the Hennepin County Consortium recently adopted a new Citizen Participation Plan
as part of their 2005-2009 Consolidated Plan; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth's Citizen Participation Plan needs to be revised to be
consistent with the Consortium's new Citizen Participation Plan; and
WHEREAS, on August 18, 2005, the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority held a
duly constituted public hearing to allow interested parties to express their opinion on the
reallocation of fiinds; and
WHEREAS, there were no comments or testimony received from the public regarding the
reallocation of fiinds; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority has reviewed and discussed
proposed revisions to the Citizen Participation Plan;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it hereby adopts the revised Citizen Participation Plan for the
Community Development Block Grant Program as contained in Resolution Number 2001-106
adopted by the City Council on March 20, 2001.
