HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2005-332CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2005-332 AWARD CONTRACT PLYMOUTH METROLINK STATION 73 TRANSIT FACILITY CITY PROJECT NO. 3125 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Plymouth Metrolink Station 73 Transit Facility, City Project No. 3125, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: Contractor Total Base Bid Mn/DOT State Bonds $2,800,000 Shaw -Lundquist Associates $4,785,000 Lund Martin Constriction $4,399,800 Knutson Constriction $4,844,000 Merimac Constriction $4,607,757 Rochon Corporation $4,389,000 Stahl Construction $4,360,000 Graham Penn -Co Constriction $4,770,000 Arkay Constriction $4,409,000 CM Constriction $4,792,000 Engineer's Estimate $3,681,000 WHEREAS, it appears that Stahl Constriction is the lowest responsible bidder complying with the minimum specifications; and WHEREAS, the City staff recommends awarding the project to Stahl Constriction; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract for the Base Bid with Stahl Constriction in the name of the City of Plymouth for the Plymouth Metrolink Station 73 Transit facility, City Project No. 3125, according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $4,360,000. FURTHERMORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED: 1. That the fiinding for this project shall be as follows: Available Funding Sources Amount Mn/DOT State Bonds $2,800,000 Regional Transit Capital Bonds $1,429,768 Transit Reserve Funds 580,232 Total Project $4,810,000 Resolution No. 2005-332 Page 2 of 2 Adopted by the City Council on August 23, 2005.
