APPROVING A SITE PLAN AMENDMENT TO CONSTRUCT A PARKING LOT AT
GREENWOOD PLAYFIELD AT THE PROPERTY LOCATED AT 18005 MEDINA ROAD
NORTH (2005087)
WHEREAS, The City of Plymouth, has requested approval of a site plan amendment to constrict
a 56 -stall parking lot at Greenwood Playfield located at 18005 Medina Road North, for property
legally described as:
That part of the south '/z of the northwest of the southeast '/4, and of the southwest
'/4 of the southeast '/4, lying southwesterly of the following described line:
Commencing at the southeast corner of said southwest '/4 of the southeast '/4;
thence north along the east line thereof 704 feet to the point of intersection of said
east line with the centerline of Medina Road, said point being the point of
beginning of the line being described; thence deflecting left 55 degrees 50
minutes along said centerline a distance of 1400 feet; thence on said centerline
along a tangential curve to the left having a radius of 700 feet to its intersection
with the west line of said south half of the northwest '/4 of the southeast '/4, and
there ending; except the northeasterly 33 feet of said property; also except that
part of said southwest '/4 of the southeast '/4 described as follows: Commencing at
the southeast corner of said southwest '/4 of the southeast '/4; thence north along
the east line thereof 290.67 feet to the point of beginning of the exception being
described; thence continuing north 413.33 feet to the point of intersection of said
east line with the centerline of Medina Road; thence deflecting left 55 degrees 50
minutes along said centerline a distance of 577.6 feet; thence deflecting left 90
degrees a distance of 342 feet; thence deflecting left to the point of beginning;
also except that part of said southwest '/4 of the southeast '/4 described as follows:
Commencing at the southeast corner of said southwest '/4 of the southeast '/4;
thence north along the east line thereof 704 feet to the point of intersection of said
east line with the centerline of Medina Road; thence deflecting left 55 degrees 50
minutes along said centerline a distance of 637.6 feet to the point of beginning of

the exceptions being described; thence continuing on last -said course along said
centerline 330 feet; thence deflecting left 90 degrees a distance of 433 feet; thence
deflecting left 90 degrees a distance of 330 feet; thence deflecting left to the point
of beginning, all in Section 18, Township 118 North, Range 22 West of the 5th
Principal Meridian.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public meeting
and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by the City
of Plymouth for a site plan amendment, subject to the following conditions:
1. A site plan amendment to allow constriction of 56 -stall parking lot, in accordance with the
application materials received by the City on July 26, 2005 subject to the conditions listed
below.
2. A separate grading permit is required through the Building Department.
3. Any subsequent phases or expansions are subject to required reviews and approvals per
Ordinance provisions.
4. Approval shall expire one year after the date of approval, unless the property owner or
applicant has substantially started constriction of the project. The landowner or applicant
may apply for approval of an extension by the City, as regulated under Section 21045.09 of
the Zoning Ordinance.
