RESOLUTION NO. 2005-270
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING
ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
BOULDER RIDGE POND OUTLET STRUCTURE PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 4133
WHEREAS, plans and specifications have been prepared by the City's consultant,
Bonestroo, Rosene, Anderlik and Associates, Inc., for drainage control improvements in
the City of Plymouth located at the Boulder Ridge Pond outlet stricture, and
WHEREAS, said plans and specifications have been presented to the Council for
approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
Such plans and specifications, a copy of which is on file in the City
Engineer's office and made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and
in The Constriction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of
such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The
advertisement shall be published twice, shall specify the work to be done,
shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 2:00 p.m. on
August 12, 2005 at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council
Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard,
Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Engineer and that no bids will be
considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a
cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City
Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
3. Staff is directed to investigate the staging of constriction to determine if the
existing weir can remain during constriction and if so, to prepare the bidding
documents accordingly. Additionally, strap holes are not to be allowed to
remain below the weir height set in the bidding documents after constriction.
