HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2005-248CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2005-248 APPROVING SERVICE CUTS TO THE PLYMOUTH METROLINK SYSTEM AND ALLOCATING ADDITIONAL TRANSIT RESERVE FUNDS FOR 2005 TRANSIT OPERATIONS COST WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth provides transit services pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section 473.388; and WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth receives operating and capital assistance from the Metropolitan Council for transit services; and WHEREAS, the Metropolitan Council has provided the current revenue shortfall projections from motor vehicles sales tax (MVST); and WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interests of the City to reduce services to reflect the available budget. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. That the City hereby adopts this resolution approving the proposed reductions to Plymouth Metrolink service. 2. That the City herby adopt this resolution to also approve an additional $166,000 of transit reserve fiinds to cover the remaining 2005 transit operations costs. Adopted by the City Council on June 28, 2005.
