HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2005-219CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2005-219 APPROVING LAYOUT NO. 2 COUNTY ROADSTATE AID HIGHWAY 24 — OLIVE LANE TO JEWEL LANE CITY PROJECT NO. 5122 WHEREAS, Hennepin County has prepared and is presenting Layout No. 2, County Project No. 9617 showing the proposed improvement of County ReadState Aid Highway (CSAR) 24 between Olive Lane and Jewel Lane; and WHEREAS, Hennepin County is requesting approval from the City for the layout, prohibition of on -street parking within the project area and authorization to proceed with right-of-way acquisition based on County policy, which specifies that the costs be divided evenly between the City and the County; and WHEREAS, the City a4s e�ae,ding the pfape-sed No. 2 indicates a pedestrian bicycle trail an the nai4h andalong the south side of ratify Rea CSAH 24 from Olive Lane to 32"4 Ave me, --Jewell Lane and the north side from Olive Lane to Lawndale Lane: and WHEREAS, the City supports extending the proposed pedestrian bicycle trail on the north and south side of CSAH 24 from Olive Lane to 32"a Avenue: and WHEREAS, the City is desirous of the completion of Cate t Rea CASH 24 improvements and has the proposed project in the City's Capital Improvements Program for the year 2007; NOW, THEREFORE, IT IS RESOLVED: That said layout (Layout No. 2) be in all things approved and that Hennepin County is hereby authorized by the City to proceed with final design and to acquire all rights-of-way, permits and/or easements required for said improvements in accordance with Hennepin County policy and said layout with the following issues to be addressed: 1. The extension of the trail on the north side of Cate t Rea CSAH 24 from Olive Lane to 32"a Avenue will be investigated and if feasible, included in the final design_ FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that on -street parking of motor vehicles along CSAH 24 from Olive Lane to Jewell Lane is prohibited at all times. Adopted by the City Council on June 14, 2005.
