RESOLUTION 2005-213
APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR THE REZONING OF PROPERTY LOCATED AT
13825 SCHMIDT LAKE ROAD (2005041)
WHEREAS, Constriction Consultants, Inc. has requested reclassification of the zoning from
FRD (Future Restricted Development District) to I-1 (Light Industrial) for 14.73 acres of land
located at 13825 Schmidt Lake Road, legally described as follows:
Outlot A, SAVANNAH, Hennepin County, Minnesota and the west 430.00 feet of the
north 1089.00 feet of the Northeast Quarter of the Southwest Quarter of Section 10,
Township 118, Range 22, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called Public Hearing
and recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance rezoning the affected parcels from FRD
(Future Restricted Development) to I-1 (Light Industrial);
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request for
reclassification of the zoning from FRD (Future Restricted Development) to I-1 (Light Industrial)
for 14.73 acres of land located located at 13825 Schmidt Lake Road, based on the following
findings:
1. The proposed rezoning is consistent with the Comprehensive Plan and other City policies and
plans.
2. The proposed rezoning meets the purpose and intent of the I-1 zoning district.
3. The proposed development meets lot area and dimension requirements of the I-1 zoning
district.

4. There are appropriate buffers and transitions provided between the industrial use and the
adjacent single-family neighborhood.
