RESOLUTION NO. 2005-171
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
2005 STREET RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 5101
WHEREAS, pursuant to resolutions passed by the Council on March 29, 2005 the Design
Division of the City Engineering Division has prepared plans and specifications for the
improvement of streets as follows:
• the area including the cul-de-sacs of Resden Road and Ravenwood Road,
• the area located from Vicksburg Lane to Ranchview Lane and from and
including 2" a Avenue to and including 9t1' Avenue,
• the area located from Ranchview Lane to Niagara Lane and from and including
_1 Avenue to and including 81h Avenue,
by reconstruction of streets with the installation of bituminous pavement, concrete curb and gutter
installation and repair, storm sewer installation and repair, and all necessary appurtenances and
has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval; and
• Carlson Parkway, from Gleason Lake Drive to the Minnetonka border by milling and
overlaying the street with bituminous pavement, and including concrete curb and gutter
repair and all necessary appurtenances.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, copies of which are on file in the City Engineer's
office and made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in
The Constriction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such
improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement
shall be published three times, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that
bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on May 23, 2005 at which
time they will be publicly opened in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth
City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the
City Manager and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the
City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or
certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
