HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2005-147CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2005-147 AWARD CONTRACT 2005 AND 2006 MEDICINE LAKE CURLYLEAF TREATMENT PROGRAM CITY PROJECT NO. 4109 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the 2005 and 2006 Medicine Lake Curlyleaf Treatment Program and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY TOTAL BID Lake Restoration, Inc. $146,153 Lake Management, Inc. $151,788 WHEREAS, it appears that Lake Restoration, Inc. of Rogers, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications; and WHEREAS, the 2005 and 2006 Medicine Lake Curlyleaf Treatment Program will treat Medicine Lake to reduce curlyleaf pondweed to improve water quality; and WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends award of the project to Lake Restoration, Inc. of Rogers, MN; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Lake Restoration, Inc. of Rogers, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for 2005 and 2006 Medicine Lake Curlyleaf Treatment Program according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $146,153. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. 3. Funding will be from the Water Resources Fund (505) in the amount $146,153. Adopted by the City Council on April 12, 2005.
