RESOLUTION NO. 2005-138
RESOLUTION APPRVING CHANGE ORDER NO. 2
ON THE PLYMOUTH PUBLIC SAFETY BUILDING
EXPANSION AND REMODELIN PROJECT
WHEREAS, the original contract for the Public Safety Building expansion and
remodeling project was awarded to Maertens-Brenny Constriction Company in the
amount of $8,469,150; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 1, adopted by the Council on February 22, 2005,
modified that contract due to structural and mechanical changes that are needed in the
project by increasing the contract by $48,164 to $8,527,314; and
WHEREAS, we have now received our second Change Order for various changes listed
in detail within the cover agenda item; and
WHEREAS, Change Order No. 2 will increase the contract amount by $22,509; and
WHEREAS, the City's owner representative, Bill Wolters, has recommended approval of
Change Order No. 2; and
WHEREAS, City and Police Department staff has reviewed and also recommends
approval of Change Order No. 2 on the Plymouth Public Safety Building expansion and
remodeling project,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, that the City Council hereby approves Change Order No. 2
on the Plymouth Public Safety Building expansion and remodeling project to increase the
contract amount by $22,509.
