HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2005-101CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2005-101 AWARDING BID HIGHWAY 55 AND VICKSBURG LANE TRAFFIC SIGNAL SYSTEM AND INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT NO. 4134 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the construction of Highway 55 and Vicksburg Lane Traffic Signal System and Intersection Improvements, and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY TOTAL BID Hardrives, Inc. $568,467.27 Park Constriction Company $583,033.45 Midwest Asphalt Corp. $599,605.11 Northwest Asphalt $620,049.20 Bituminous Roadways, Inc. $636,770.00 North Valley, Inc. $653,097.81 WHEREAS, it appears that Hardrives, Inc. of Rogers, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Hardrives, Inc. of Rogers, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the construction of Highway 55 and Vicksburg Lane Traffic Signal System and Intersection Improvements, according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer by awarding a contract in the amount of $568,467.27. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. 3. Funding for this project will be: Tax Increment Financing $629,300 CSM Corporation $ 81,300 Adopted by the City Council on March 8, 2005.
