RESOLUTION 2006-478
APPROVAL OF A CONTRACT WITH
LAIDLAW TRANSIT SERVICES, INC. FOR
PLYMOUTH METROLINK TRANSIT SERVICES
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth provides transit services pursuant to Minnesota Statutes Section
473.388; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth receives operating and capital assistance from the Metropolitan
Council for transit services; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interests of the City to utilize
transit fiinds in the most cost effective manner; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has awarded the transit services contract to Laidlaw Transit Services
Inc. after a competitive Request for Proposal process.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That it should and hereby does authorize the Mayor and the City
Manager to enter into a contractual agreement with Laidlaw Transit Services, Inc. for the provision
of transit services for Plymouth Metrolink for the period from December 4, 2006 through December
3 2009, not to exceed $10,928,000 based on the contract prices detailed below:
