RESOLUTION NO. 2006-413
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR THE
POLICE -ORDERED TOWING AND
IMPOUNDMENT OF VEHICLES
WHEREAS, the City's current contract for towing and impoundment of vehicles nuns
through October 31, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the City desires to enter into a new contract with a qualified contractor for
the police ordered towing and impoundment of vehicles; and
WHEREAS, the City advertised and accepted bids for such contract; and
WHEREAS, the City received three proposals from Plymouth Automotive, Inc., Kelly's
Wrecker Services, Inc., and Frankie's Towing for the services set forth in the proposal
documents fi rnished to the interested towing contractors; and
WHEREAS, the various bids are reviewed in the City Council Agenda Report dated
September 27, 2006; and
WHEREAS, the lowest bidder who has met the proposal's specifications is Plymouth
Automotive, Inc,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, that the City Council awards the contract for Police Ordered
Towing and Impoundment to Plymouth Automotive, Inc., for the period November 1,
2006 through November 1, 2009.
Adopted by the City Council on October 10, 2006.
