RESOLUTION 2006-335
ORDERING A SPECIAL ELECTION ON THE
QUESTION OF ISSUING GENERAL OBLIGATION BONDS
AND APPROVING THE BALLOT QUESTION
WHEREAS, the City Council has determined that it is in the best interest of the community to
allow the electors to vote on whether or not to authorize the issuance of general obligation bonds.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. A special election is hereby called for the 7th day of November, 2006, for the special
purpose of submitting substantially the following question to the electors: "Shall the City
Council of the City of Plymouth, Minnesota be authorized to issue its general obligation
bonds in an amount not to exceed $9,000,000 for the purpose of acquiring land for open
space, greenways, and parks."
2. The form of the official ballot attached hereto is approved.
3. The City Clerk is directed to take all necessary steps to call the special election.
ADOPTED by the City Council on August 22, 2006.

The undersigned, being the duly qualified and appointed City Clerk of the City of Plymouth,
Minnesota, certifies that I compared the foregoing resolution adopted at a meeting of the Plymouth City
Council on August 22, 2006, with the original thereof on file in my office, and the same is a correct
transcription thereof.

YOU ARE VOTING FOR A PROPERTY TAX
INCREASE.
The maximum amount of increased levy as a percentage of market value is
.010376%.
The amount that will be raised by the new referendum tax rate in the first year
it is to be levied is $892,000.
INSTRUCTIONS TO VOTERS
If you wish to vote in favor of the above proposition, mark a cross (X) in the square before the
word "YES". If you wish to vote against the above proposition, mark a cross (X) in the square
before this word "NO".
(NOTE: On the back of each ballot shall be printed the words "Official Ballot", the date of the
election, and lines for the initials of the judges.)
