HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2006-267CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2006-267 APPROVING A CONDITIONAL USE PERMIT TO ALLOW INSTALLATION OF A 100 -FOOT MONOPOLE WITH TELECOMM[_]NICATION ANTENNAS AND RELATED EQUIPMENT FOR T -MOBILE USA AT 15605 32N" AVENUE (2006036) WHEREAS, T -Mobile USA has requested approval of a conditional use permit for a 100 - foot monopole tower to be located on the following described property: The East 140 feet of the West 355 feet of Lot 1, Block 2, Playhouse Industrial Park, together with that portion of vacated 30"' Avenue North, Hennepin County, Minnesota. WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public hearing and recommends approval. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by T -Mobile USA for a conditional use permit at 15605 32"a Avenue, subject to the following conditions: I. A conditional use permit is approved to allow a 100 -foot high monopole tower with antennas and the related equipment, as shown on the application and plans received by the City on May 10, 2006, except as may be amended by this resolution. 2. The project requires a separate building permit prior to installation of the tower and equipment and a separate grading permit to upgrade the fire lane. 3. Prior to issuance of a building permit, the applicant shall submit documents prepared by a structural engineer demonstrating the tower is capable of supporting three carriers. Prior to issuance of a building or grading permit, the applicant shall submit revised plans showing the 15 -foot fire lane upgraded from the parking lot on the north side of the property to the edge of the unpaved parking lot on the south side of the building in the alignment specified on the site plan and consistent with the city's current Engineering Guidelines. 5. Prior to issuance of a building permit, the applicant shall specify the finish of the monopole consistent with City requirements. (The monopole shall be painted a non - contrasting color or have a galvanized finish.) 6. All fencing shall conform to the requirements of the Zoning Ordinance. 7. The permit is subject to all applicable codes, regulations and ordinances, and violation thereof shall be grounds for revocation. 8. The conditional use permit shall expire one year from the date of approval, unless the project is substantially completed or an extension is applied for and granted, as regulated under Sections 21015.07 of the Zoning Ordinance.
