RESOLUTION 2006-247
APPROVING AN INTERIM HOME OCCUPATION LICENSE FOR KYLA AWES FOR
PROPERTY LOCATED AT 17235 12"' AVENUE NORTH (2006026)
WHEREAS, Kyla Awes has requested an interim home occupation license to operate a
chiropractic business from her home at 17235 12"' Avenue North, legally described as follows:
The north 172.00 feet of Lot 22, and the north 172.00 feet of the East Half of Lot 23, all in
Block 2, City View Acres, Hennepin County, Minnesota.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public meeting
and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Kyla
Awes for an interim home occupation license at 17235 12"' Avenue North, subject to the
following conditions:
I. The interim home occupation license is approved for a chiropractic business in accordance
with the application and plans received by the City on April 24, 2006 except as amended
by this resolution.
2. Compliance with Section 21145 of the Zoning Ordinance, relating to Home Occupations.
3. Staff finds that the applicant meets all the general standards for home occupations and all
the specific requirements for interim home occupations. Specifically, staff finds:
a) The home occupation would be clearly incidental and secondary to the residential use
of the premises, would not change the residential character, and would not result in a
disturbance to the surrounding uses.

b) On -street parking facilities would not be utilized to accommodate parking demand.
c) Less than 25 percent of one story of the home would be used for the home occupation.
d) No person other than those who reside in the home would be employed on the
premises.
4. The interim home occupation license is valid for one year from the date of approval. The
applicant may apply to the Zoning Administrator for renewal of the interim home
occupation prior to expiration of the license.
