RESOLUTION NO. 2006-195
AWARD CONTRACT
EMERGENCY VEHICLE PRE-EMPTION PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 5126
WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the Emergency Vehicle Pre-Emption Project,
bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received
complying with the advertisement:
WHEREAS, the City Engineer recommends including Alternate Bid A due to electrical and
maintenance cost savings; and
WHEREAS, it appears that Collins Electrical Systems, Inc. of New Hope, MN is the lowest
responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the appropriate City Officials are hereby authorized and directed
to enter into the contract for the bid with Collins Electrical Systems, Inc. of New Hope, MN in the
name of the City of Plymouth for the Emergency Vehicle Pre-Emption Project, City Project No. 5126
according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the
office of the City Engineer in the amount of $112,502.79.
FURTHERMORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED, that fiinding for this project shall be from the
following:
■ Building & Equipment Revolving Fund, $85,000
■ 2005 General Fund Surplus, $40,000
■ Hennepin County, $4,000
Adopted by the City Council on May 9, 2006.
