RESOLUTION NO. 2006-187
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR
INSURANCE FOR THE 2006/2007 INSURANCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City desires to purchase insurance coverage for potential liability and
property losses; and
WHEREAS, the City has reviewed the proposals for the necessary insurance coverage;
and
WHEREAS, the City recommends that we accept the basic limit which corresponds with
the Municipal Tort Liability Statute and not purchase excess liability insurance, and
WHEREAS, the City received a proposal from the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance
Trust for $297,925 for coverages and limitations set forth in the Risk and Benefit
Manager's memo dated April 28, 2006; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the City Council award the
contract for all insurance coverage's as outlined in the Risk and Benefit Manager's
memo, to the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust for $297,925.
