RESOLUTION NO. 2006-145
APPROVAL OF A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE ACCEPTANCE OF A
TRAINING GRANT FROM THE STATE OF MINNESOTA DIVISION OF HOMELAND
SECURITY AND EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
WHEREAS, The State of Minnesota has been provided fiinding, through the Federal Emergency
Management Agency, for the purpose of providing emergency service training; and
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has applied through the State of Minnesota to utilize grant
funding to provide rescue training for the Plymouth Fire Department (PFD); and
WHEREAS, the State of Minnesota has approved a grant request of $15,592 to provide collapse
rescue training for the PFD; and
WHEREAS, the City agrees to the terms of the grant and authorizes the State of Minnesota,
Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management to enforce the grant contract in
accordance with the applicable riles and regulations; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the City enter into the grant agreement with the State of
Minnesota, Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Management, and authorize the Mayor
and City Manager to sign and accept a training grant of $15,592 for the Plymouth Fire Department.
