HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2006-125CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2006-125 RESCIND RESOLUTION NO. 2000-499 AND AUTHORIZE "NO PARKING" ON THE NORTH SIDE OF 34TH AVENUE ADJACENT TO PLYMOUTH CITY CENTER WHEREAS, the existing "No Parking" Resolution No. 2000-499 no longer represents the existing geometrics along the north side of 34th Avenue adjacent to City Center; and WHEREAS, with the City Center improvements and the upcoming Post Office parking lot expansion there will soon be five driveways along a 300 -foot stretch of 30h Avenue, all staggered, making sight distance and traffic flow extremely difficult for motorists; and WHEREAS, posting "No Parking" along the north side of 34th Avenue from Plymouth Boulevard to 70 feet east of the easterly City Center driveway will improve the sight distance and safety for motorists using these driveways as well as vehicles traveling along 34th Avenue; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That it hereby, rescinds Resolution No. 2000-499 and authorizes the installation of "No Parking" signs on the north side of 34th Avenue from Plymouth Boulevard to 70 feet east of the easterly City Center driveway. Adopted by the City Council on March 14, 2006.
