HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2006-097CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2006-097 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID WELL NO.'s 7 and 12 MAINTENANCE PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 5133 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for Well No.'s 7 and 12 Maintenance Projet and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY Bergerson-Caswell, Inc Mark J. Traut Wells, Inc. Keys Well Drilling Company E. H. Renner & Sons, Inc. BASE BID Alt. No. I Alt. No. 2 $121,187.50 $19,000 $62,700 $145,022.50 $17,975 $53,350 $145,855.00 $20,100 $52,000 $154,549.50 $33,000 $60,100 WHEREAS, it appears that Bergerson-Caswell, Inc. of Maple Plain, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Bergerson-Caswell, Inc. of Maple Plain, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for Well No.'s 7 and 12 Maintenance Project according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the Base Bid amount of $121,187.50. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. 3. Funding will be from the Water Fund in the amount of $151,500. Adopted by the City Council on February 28, 2006.
