HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2006-096CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2006-096 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS EMERGENCY VEHICLE PRE-EMPTION PROJECTS CITY PROJECT NO. 5126 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on February 28, 2006 the City's consulting engineer, Short Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. has prepared plans and specifications for the installation of emergency vehicle pre-emption indicators on six traffic signal systems in the city and has presented such plans and specifications to the Council for approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, copies of which are on file in the City Engineer's office and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Constriction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published two times, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on April 7, 2006 at which time they will be publicly opened in the City Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid. Adopted by the City Council on February 28, 2006.
