RESOLUTION NO. 2006-095
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
COUNTY ROAD 6 WATER TOWER REHABILITATION PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 5124
WHEREAS, the County Road 6 Water Tower was designated for rehabilitation in the
2006 - 2010 CIP for the year 2006; and
WHEREAS, Short, Elliott, Hendrickson, Inc. was chosen after receiving proposals, as the
engineer for this project; and
WHEREAS, Short, Elliott, Hendrickson, Inc. has prepared plans and specifications for
the County Road 6 Water Tower Rehabilitation Project by painting the interior and
exterior along with certain upgrades to meet current standards, and has presented such
plans and specifications to the Council for approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, copies of which are on file in the City
Engineer's Office and made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper
and in The Constriction Bulletin an advertisement for bids for the making
of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The
advertisement shall be published twice, shall specify the work to be done,
shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on
March 27, 2006 at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council
Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth
Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids
will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and
accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified
check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
