RESOLUTION 2006-083
AUTHORIZING THE APPLICATION FOR AND ALLOCATION OF FISCAL YEAR 2006
COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT FUNDS
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth is eligible to apply to the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban
Development (HUD) for 2006 fiinding for the Community Development Block Grant (CDBG)
Program; and
WHEREAS, on January 19, 2006, the Plymouth Housing and Redevelopment Authority held a duly
constituted public hearing to allow interested parties to express their opinions regarding the
allocation of fiinds for the 2006 CDBG Program Year; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has reviewed the recommendations of the Housing and
Redevelopment Authority regarding the proposed activities and allocation of CDBG fiinds for
Program Year 2006;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it hereby directs the City Manager to submit to the U.S.
Department of Housing and Urban Development the application and all required documents for
participation in the 2006 Community Development Block Grant Program Year and approves the
allocation for the following projects in the respective proposed amounts:

Housing Rehabilitation Loan Program

First Time Homebuyer Loan Program

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED, that CDBG program income may be used to cover expenses
generated in any existing CDBG program or activity and not just expenses related to the activity
generating the income.
