RESOLUTION NO. 2006-034
AUTHORIZE THE PURCHASE OF EIGHT NEW CURRENT MODEL
REPLACEMENT POLICE SQUAD CARS
WHEREAS, the City Council has approved in the 2006 budget the purchase of 8 new replacement squad cars;
and
WHEREAS, the City may purchase off State contracts; and
WHEREAS, Elk River Ford has a contract with the State (contract 4435254)
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, to authorize the purchase of eight new replacement pursuit squad cars off the
State contract through Elk River Ford. The purchase price is estimated to be $21,025 per vehicle, one service
manual for $85 and one electrical manual for $70 will also be purchased. There will be no sales tax since
"Clearly Marked Emergency Vehicles" are not subject to state sales tax and the total amount is $168,355
FURTHER BE IT RESOLVED, that the fiinding will be from account:
602-1760-8004 $168,355
