RESOLUTION No. 2013-157
A RESOLUTION APPROVING HENNEPIN COUNTY AGREEMENT
PLYMOUTH PLAYER BENCHES AND DUGOUT COVERS FOR OAKWOOD PARK
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has requested County participation in the cost of
improvements to the softball fields at Oakwood Playfield through the Hennepin County Youth
Sports Equipment Grant Program; and
WHEREAS, Hennepin County grant fiends are designated for projects to build, repair,
renovate or expand youth sports facilities in Hennepin County; and
WHEREAS, the City has cooperatively applied for the Hennepin County Youth Sports
Equipment Grant with Plymouth Wayzata Youth Softball Association; and
WHEREAS, Oakwood softball fields 41 and 42 dugout improvements will include
fencing, benches and dugout covers; and
WHEREAS, the estimated cost of the dugout improvements are $7,000 and will be constricted
in 2013; and
WHEREAS, upon completion of the project in 2013, the City shall notify the County and submit
an invoice for reimbursement of $7,000, reducing the overall project costs to $0; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE MAYOR AND CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the City Council hereby approves the Hennepin County
Agreement for Plymouth Player Benches and Dugout Covers for Oakwood Park and authorizes the
Mayor and City Manager to sign the Agreement on behalf of the City of Plymouth.
