RESOLUTION NO. 2007-513
AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO PROVIDE THE
LAKE MINNETONKA AREA POLICE CONSORTIUM
ACCESS TO THE POLICE DEPARTMENT'S NETMOTION SERVER
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has its own NetMotion server; and
WHEREAS, the NetMotion server is a required mechanism to access the Internet in a
secure fashion for certain police -related services; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Police Department is in need of access to the Hennepin
County Broker, which has associated monthly costs; and
WHEREAS, the Plymouth Police Department has created a partnership with the Lake
Minnetonka Area Police Consortium to offer the Consortium access to the department's
NetMotion server; and
WHEREAS, in exchange for this service, the Consortium will equally share the costs to
access the Broker,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH that authorization has been approved for the City to provide the
Lake Minnetonka Area Police Consortium access to the Police Department's NetMotion
Server.
