RESOLUTION NO. 2007-507
RECEIVING PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT
AND SET PUBLIC HEARING
2008 MILL & OVERLAY PROJECT
NIAGARA LANE: HIGHWAY 55 TO COUNTY ROAD 6
CITY PROJECT 8109
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted November 13, 2007, a
report has been prepared with reference to the improvement of Niagara Lane — Highway
55 to County Road 6 excluding the intersections of State Highway 55 and County Road
6; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the removal and replacement of the top
layer of bituminous pavement, concrete curb and gutter repair, sanitary and storm sewer
stricture repair, loop detector replacement, and all necessary appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on December 11, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost effective, and feasible;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
The Council will consider the improvement of such street in
accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting and adjacent
property within the designated 2008 Mill and Overlay Project, City
Project No.8109 for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953,
Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated total cost of the
improvement of $600,000.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on
January 22, 2008 in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City
Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall
give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as
required by law.
