RESOLUTION 2007-476
APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT
AMENDMENTS FOR PLYMOUTH CITY CENTER (2007090)
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has initiated text amendments to Section 21475 (CC,
City Center District) of Chapter 21 (Zoning Ordinance) of the Plymouth City Code; and
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the proposed text amendments at a
duly called public hearing and recommends approval; and
WHEREAS, the City Council has adopted an ordinance amending the Zoning Ordinance
text for Plymouth City Center.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve a
Zoning Ordinance text amendments, based upon the following findings:
1. The proposed amendments would be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan,
and with the City's ordinances and policies.
2. The proposed amendments would allow for more mixing of land uses, more
opportunities for retail development, and would assist in developing a more
pedestrian -friendly environment in Plymouth City Center, in accordance with the
established City Center goals.
ADOPTED by the City Council on November 13, 2007.
