HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2007-435CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2007-435 LEVYING ASSESSMENT FOR DELINQUENT UTILITY ACCOUNTS, DISEASED TREES, WEED ERADICATION, FALSE ALARM FEES, AND OTHER MISCELLANEIOUS CHARGES WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth has determined the rates and charges for utilities, diseased trees, weed eradication, false alarm fees, and other miscellaneous charges to be at the expense of the owners of the premises involved; and WHEREAS, all such sums become delinquent and assessable against the property served under Sections 715.03 and 720.16 of the Plymouth City Code, as adopted by City ordinances and under Minnesota Statutes 444.075 and 429.061; and WHEREAS, an assessment role has been prepared setting forth an assessment against each parcel of land served by utility services or charged for the costs of abating weed cutting, false alarm fees, and other miscellaneous charges which remain unpaid at the close of business on November 29, 2007. NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, THAT THE Finance Manager is hereby authorized to deliver said assessment roll to the Auditor of Hennepin County for collection of the assessment in the same manner as other municipal taxes are collected and payment thereof enforced with interest from October 10, 2007 at the rate of 8% per annum.
