RESOLUTION NO. 2007-349
APPROVE PREPARATION OF ASSESSMENT ROLL AND
SET PUBLIC HEARING FOR DELINQUENT ACCOUNTS
WHEREAS, pursuant to the provision of Minnesota Statutes Sections 444.075, 429.01. and
443.015 and Plymouth City Code Sections 715.03, 720.16, 720. 13, and 600.25 a
determination has been made that certain charges for delinquent water, sewer, recycling, street
lighting, diseased trees, weed eradication and false fire alarms call service charges have not
been paid as provided by law, and the total amount of such charges is $307,653.45.
NOW THEREFORE BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE
CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. The amount of delinquent utilities to be specially assessed is hereby declared
to be $302,386.44.
2. The amount of diseased tree removal delinquent charges to be assessed is
$4,079.51.
3. The amount of weed eradication charges to be assessed is $687.50.
4. The amount of false fire alarm call charges to be assessed is $500.
5. The City Clerk, with the assistance of the Finance Manager, shall forthwith
calculate the proper amount to be specially assessed as provided by law, and
the City Clerk shall file a copy of such proposed assessment in the office of the
City Clerk for public inspection.
6. The City Clerk shall, upon the completion of such proposed assessment, notify
the City Council thereof.
7. A public hearing shall be held on the 9t1' day of October 2007 in the City
Council Chambers of Plymouth City Center, 3400 Plymouth Boulevard,
Plymouth, Minnesota, at 7:00 p.m. to pass upon such proposed assessment and
at such time and place all persons owning property affected by such charges
will be given an opportunity to be heard with reference to such assessment.
8. The City Clerk is hereby directed to cause a notice of the hearing on the
proposed assessment to be published once in the official newspaper at least
two weeks prior to the hearing, and shall state in the notice the total amount of
the assessment. The City Clerk shall also cause mailed notice to be given to
the owner of each parcel described in the assessment roll.
