RESOLUTION 2007-296
APPROVING A COMPREHENSIVE PLAN AMENDMENT FOR FINN DANIELS
ARCHITECTS TO REMOVE A PLANNED MINOR COLLECTOR ROADWAY
FROM THE TRANSPORTATION PLAN (2006111)
WHEREAS, Finn Daniels Architects has requested consideration of removing the
planned minor collector roadway (6th Avenue extension) located between Revere Lane
and the north frontage road of Highway 55 from the Transportation Plan of the
Comprehensive Plan; and,
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public
hearing.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve
removal of the planned minor collector roadway (6th Avenue extension) located between
Revere Lane and the north frontage road for Highway 55 from the Transportation Plan of
the Comprehensive Plan, based on the finding that removal of the planned minor
collector roadway would not adversely affect the adjacent roadway system.
FURTHER, approval of the Comprehensive Plan Amendment is contingent upon, and
subject to, the required review and response by the Metropolitan Council; and
FURTHER, the following changes shall be made to the Plan:
1. Figure 7-3 Functional Classification shall be revised to delete the fiiture minor
collector designation between Revere Lane and the existing north frontage road for
Highway 55.
2. Figure 7-7 Planned Roadway Improvements shall be revised to delete the fiiture
roadway between Revere Lane and the north frontage road for Highway 55.
