RESOLUTION NO. 2007-290
APPROVING ACQUISITION OF OPEN SPACE
WHEREAS, the City has actively pursued the acquisition of open space since the 1995
bond referendum; and
WHEREAS, the site located in southeast Plymouth along Zachary Lane has been
contemplated since 1995 for open space acquisition; and
WHEREAS, the City and the current owner have reached tentative agreement for the
acquisition of 13.56 acres of open space,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE PLYMOUTH CITY COUNCIL that
the Director of Parks and Recreation is authorized to proceed with the acquisition of said
property for the purchase price of $275,000, and fiirther, that the City Attorney's Office
shall prepare all the necessary documents for said acquisition and that the Mayor and City
Manager are authorized to sign said documents, and fiirther, that fiinding of this
acquisition shall come from the Capital Improvement Fund.
Adopted by the City Council on June 26, 2007.
