HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2007-284CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2007-284 RESOLUTION AWARDING BID FERNBROOK LANE STREET IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT NO. 1013 WHEREAS, pursuant to an advertisement for bids for the constriction of Fernbrook Lane Street Improvements and all necessary appurtenances, bids were received, opened and tabulated according to law, and the following bids were received complying with the advertisement: COMPANY TOTAL BID Eureka Constriction $3,637,704.68 Knife River Corp. 3,921,066.18 C.S. McCrossan Constriction, Inc. 4,172,901.83 Palda and Sons, Inc. 5,123,513.87 Doboszenski and Sons, Inc. 5,505,536.16 WHEREAS, it appears that Eureka Constriction of Lake Elmo, MN is the lowest responsible bidder, complying with the minimum specifications. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Mayor and City Manager are hereby authorized and directed to enter into the contract with Eureka Constriction of Lake Elmo, MN in the name of the City of Plymouth for the constriction of Fernbrook Lane Street Improvements according to the plans and specifications therefore approved by the City Council and on file in the office of the City Engineer in the amount of $3,637,704.68. 2. The City Clerk is hereby authorized and directed to return forthwith to all bidders the deposits made with their bids, except that the deposits of the successful bidder and the next lowest bidder shall be retained until a contract has been signed. 3. Funding for the estimated project cost of $5,741,000 shall be as follows: Municipal State Aid Funds $3,653,000 Water Fund $ 150,000 Federal Funding $1,575,000 Special Assessments $ 363,000 Adopted by the City Council on June 26, 2007.
