HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2007-248CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION 2007-248 APPROVING FINDINGS OF FACT FOR A ZONING ORDINANCE TEXT AMENDMENT TO ALLOW DRY CLEANING WITH PROCESSING FACILITIES IN THE COMMERCIAL DISTRICTS (2007031) WHEREAS, O'Bresky Cleaners, Inc. has requested an amendment to allow dry cleaning with processing facilities in the commercial zoning districts as an allowed use; and WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed the proposed text amendment at a duly called public hearing and recommends approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve a Zoning Ordinance text amendment, based upon the following findings: 1. The proposed amendment would be consistent with the City's Comprehensive Plan, and with the City's ordinances and policies. 2. The proposed amendment would allow dry cleaning businesses with processing facilities that generate minimal or no hazardous wastes as determined by Hennepin County. 3. The use would not negatively impact the City's ability to provide sewer, water or streets. ADOPTED by the City Council this 12"' day of June, 2007.
