RESOLUTION NO. 2007-230
AWARDING THE CONTRACT FOR
INSURANCE FOR THE 2007/2008 INSURANCE PROGRAM
WHEREAS, the City desires to purchase insurance coverage for potential liability and
property losses; and
WHEREAS, the City has reviewed the proposal for the necessary insurance coverage;
and
WHEREAS, the City recommends that we accept the basic limit which corresponds with
the Municipal Tort Liability Statute and not purchase excess liability insurance, and
WHEREAS, the City received a renewal from the League of Minnesota Cities Insurance
Trust for $312,174 for coverages and limitations set forth in the Risk Manager's memo
dated May 11, 2007; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL
OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that the City Council award the
contract for all insurance coverage's as outlined in the Risk Manager's memo to the
League of Minnesota Cities Insurance Trust for $312,174.
