HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2007-168CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2007-168 APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS FERNBROOK LANE STREET AND TRAFFIC CONTROL SIGNAL IMPROVEMENTS CITY PROJECT NO. 1013 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on April 10, 2007 the City's Consulting Engineer, SRF Consulting Group, Inc. has prepared plans and specifications for the Fernbrook Lane Improvements. The improvements include the addition of turn lanes at the intersections of 34"' Avenue, Harbor Lane, Highway 55 and 27"' Avenue, along with revisions to the signal system at Highway 55, installation of permanent traffic signal systems at Harbor Lane and 27"' Avenue and milling of the existing road surface that is not disturbed by widening, and replaced with a new bituminous wear surface. The plans and specifications are being presented to the Council for approval; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. Such plans and specifications, copies of which are on file in the City Engineer's Office and made a part hereof, are hereby approved. 2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper and in The Constriction Bulletin an advertisement for bids for the making of such improvement under such approved plans and specifications. The advertisement shall be published three times, shall specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on May 17, 2007, pending MnDOT and Federal Highway Administration (FHWA) authorization to proceed, at which time they will be publicly opened in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center building at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota, by the City Manager and that no bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid. Adopted by the City Council on April 10, 2007.
