RESOLUTION NO. 2007-104
APPROVING PLANS AND SPECIFICATIONS AND
ORDERING ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS
BLACK OAKS LANE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT
CITY PROJECT NO. 6102
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution passed by the Council on March 13, 2007, Short
Elliott Hendrickson, Inc. the consultant for the project, has prepared plans and
specifications for the improvement of Black Oaks Lane from Gleason Lake Drive
approximately 1500 feet west along the Minnetonka border by reconstruction of the street
with the installation of bituminous pavement, concrete curb and gutter installation, storm
sewer installation and replacement, and all necessary appurtenances and has presented
such plans and specifications to the Council for approval;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
1. Such plans and specifications, copies of which are on file in the City
Engineer's office and made a part hereof, are hereby approved.
2. The City Clerk shall prepare and cause to be inserted in the official paper
and in The Constriction Bulletin an advertisement for bids upon the
making of such improvement under such approved plans and
specifications. The advertisement shall be published two times, shall
specify the work to be done, shall state that bids will be received by the
City Clerk until 10:00 a.m. on April 12, 2007 at which time they will be
publicly opened in the City Council Chambers of Minnetonka City Hall at
14600 Minnetonka Boulevard, Minnetonka, Minnesota, by the engineer
and City Clerk, will then be tabulated, and will be considered by the
council at 7 p.m. on April 24, 2007, in the City Council Chambers at 3400
Plymouth Boulevard, Plymouth, Minnesota. Any bidder whose
responsibility is questioned during consideration of the bid will be given
an opportunity to address the council on the issue of responsibility. No
bids will be considered unless sealed and filed with the City Clerk and
accompanied by a cash deposit, cashier's check, bid bond or certified
check payable to the City Clerk for five percent of the amount of such bid.
