HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2007-092CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2007-092 RECEIVING PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT AND CALLING FOR HEARING ON IMPROVEMENTS FERNBROOK LANE IMPROVEMENTS PROJECT 27TH AVENUE TO 34TH AVENUE CITY PROJECT NO. 1013 WHEREAS, a report has been prepared with reference to the improvement of Fernbrook Lane between 27th Avenue and 34th Avenue; and WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the reconstruction of Fernbrook Lane by the installation of turn lanes at the intersections of 34t1' Avenue, Harbor Lane, Highway 55, and 27th Avenue along with revisions to the existing storm drainage system and to the signal system at Highway 55, and the installation of permanent traffic systems at Harbor Lane and 27th Avenue, and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on February 27, 2007; and WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed improvements are necessary, cost effective, and feasible; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: 1. The Council will consider the improvement of Fernbrook Lane in accordance with the report and the assessment of benefiting property within the designated Fernbrook Lane Improvement, City Project No. 1013, for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $6,529,200. 2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 10th day of April, 2007 in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law. Adopted by the City Council on February 27, 2007.
