RESOLUTION 2007-090
APPROVING A HOME OCCUPATION LICENSE FOR JUAN AND MARIBEL BECERRA
FOR PROPERTY LOCATED AT 14506 COUNTY ROAD 6 (2006106)
WHEREAS, Juan and Maribel Becerra have requested a home occupation license to operate a
cleaning business from their home at 14506 County Road 6, legally described as follows:
The east 104.35 feet of the following described property: Commencing at a point in the
center line of CR No. 6 distance 767 feet west from the east line of Section 28 118 22;
thence north and parallel to said east line 208.71 feet; thence west parallel to said center
line 208.71 feet; thence south and parallel to said east line 208.71 feet to said center line;
thence easterly along said center line to point of beginning, except road.
WHEREAS, the Planning Commission has reviewed said request at a duly called public meeting
and recommends approval.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA, that it should and hereby does approve the request by Juan and
Maribel Becerra for a home occupation license at 14505 County Road 6, subject to the following
conditions:
1. The home occupation license is approved for a cleaning business in accordance with the
application and plans received by the City on November 14, December 18 and December
20, 2006, except as amended by this resolution.
2. Compliance with Section 21145 of the Zoning Ordinance, relating to Home Occupations.
3. Staff finds that the applicant meets the general standards for home occupations and the
specific requirements for interim home occupations. Specifically, the home occupation is

clearly incidental and secondary to the residential use of the premises, would not change
the residential character, and would not result in a disturbance to the surrounding uses.
a) Not over 25 percent of any one story of the home is used for the home occupation.
b) No person other than those who reside in the home are employed on the premises.
c) Off-street parking is limited to no more than one commercial vehicle and two
employee vehicles parked in an established driveway or parking areas surfaced in
compliance with the Zoning Ordinance. Off-street parking in excess of these
maximums would be a basis for revocation of the license.
4. The applicants must reside in the home in order to operate the business on the premises.
5. The City reserves the right upon issuing any home occupation license to inspect the
premises in which the occupation is being conducted to ensure compliance with the
provisions of Section 21145 or any condition additionally imposed.
6. The home occupation license is valid for one year from the date of approval. The
applicant may apply to the Zoning Administrator for renewal of the interim home
occupation prior to expiration of the license.
