RESOLUTION NO. 2007-068
RECEIVING PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT AND CALLING FOR A
PUBLIC HEARING
2007 MILL & OVERLAY PROJECT
VICKSBURG LANE: 32ND AVENUE TO OLD ROCKFORD ROAD
CITY PROJECT NO. 7104
WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted January 9, 2007, a
report has been prepared with reference to the improvement of Vicksburg Lane from 32" a
Avenue to Old Rockford Road excluding the intersections of State Highway 55 and
County Road 9; and
WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the removal and replacement of the top
layer of bituminous pavement, concrete curb and gutter repair, sanitary and storm sewer
stricture repair, loop detector replacement, and all necessary appurtenances; and
WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on February 13, 2007; and
WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is
necessary, cost effective, and feasible;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA:
The Council will consider the improvement of such street in
accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting and adjacent
property within the designated 2007 Mill and Overlay Project, City
Project No. 7104 for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement
pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953,
Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated total cost of the
improvement of $566,000.
2. A public hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the
13th day of March 2007 in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City
Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall
give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as
required by law.
