HomeMy WebLinkAboutCity Council Resolution 2007-041CITY OF PLYMOUTH RESOLUTION NO. 2007-041 RECEIVING PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT AND CALLING FOR A PUBLIC HEARING BLACK OAKS LANE RECONSTRUCTION PROJECT CITY PROJECT NO. 6102 WHEREAS, pursuant to a resolution of the City Council adopted January 9, 2007, a report has been prepared with reference to the improvement of Black Oaks Lane from Gleason Lake Road to approximately 1500 feet westerly along the Minnetonka border; and WHEREAS, the proposed improvement includes the reconstruction of a street by the installation of bituminous pavement, concrete curb and gutter, storm sewer, and all necessary appurtenances; and WHEREAS, said report is being received by the Council on January 23, 2007; and WHEREAS, the report provides information regarding whether the proposed project is necessary, cost effective, and feasible; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: The Council will consider the improvement of such streets in accordance with the report and the assessment of abutting and adjacent property to Black Oaks Lane, City Project No. 6102 for all or a portion of the cost of the improvement pursuant to Minnesota Statutes 429.011 to 429.111 (Laws 1953, Chapter 398, as amended) at an estimated total cost of the improvement of $360,000, of which Plymouth would be responsible for $180,000. 2. Apublic hearing shall be held on such proposed improvement on the 13t, day of February 2007 in the Council Chambers of the Plymouth City Center at 3400 Plymouth Boulevard at 7:00 p.m., and the Clerk shall give mailed and published notice of such hearing and improvements as required by law. Adopted by the City Council on January 23, 2007.
