ORDER PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT
INTERSECTION IMPROVEMENT PROJECT
COUNTY ROAD 61/COUNTY ROAD 47
CITY PROJECT NO. 6108
WHEREAS, the Capital Improvements Program (CIP) for 2006 and 2007 made
recommendations for the Intersection Improvement Project at County Road 61 and
County Road 47; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to undertake a Preliminary Engineering Report to determine
the work required on each street in the areas recommended to be considered for the
County Road 61/County Road 47 Intersection Improvement Project; and
WHEREAS, it is proposed to improve the intersection of County Road 61/County Road
47 and approaching roadways and to assess the benefited properties for a portion of the
cost of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the proposed improvement be
referred to the City Engineer for study and that he is instructed to report to the Council
with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the
proposed improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible and as to whether it
should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the
estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.
