RESOLUTION NO. 2007-008
ORDER PRELIMINARY ENGINEERING REPORT
BLACK OAKS LANE STREET RECONSTRUCTION
CITY PROJECT NO. 6102
WHEREAS, the Capital Improvements Program (CIP) 2007 made recommendations for
the reconstruction of Black Oaks Lane from Gleason Lake Road to approximately 1,200
feet westerly; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to undertake a Preliminary Engineering Report to determine
the work required on each street in the areas recommended to be considered for the Black
Oaks Lane Street Reconstruction Project; and
WHEREAS, it is proposed to improve the portion of Black Oaks Lane west of Vicksburg
Lane, bordering the City of Minnetonka and to assess the benefited properties for a
portion of the cost of the improvement, pursuant to Minnesota Statutes, Chapter 429;
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, MINNESOTA: That the proposed improvement be
referred to the City Engineer for study and that he is instructed to report to the Council
with all convenient speed advising the Council in a preliminary way as to whether the
proposed improvement is necessary, cost-effective, and feasible and as to whether it
should best be made as proposed or in connection with some other improvement, and the
estimated cost of the improvement as recommended.
