RESOLUTION NO. 2008-324
APPROVING AN AGREEMENT FOR ARTWORK
BETWEEN THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH AND FOSTER WILLEY JR.
WHEREAS, the City of Plymouth put out an RFP for the development of an original
piece of artwork to be displayed at the Plymouth Millennium Garden; and
WHEREAS, nine artists submitted proposals, and
WHEREAS, the City's selection committee has recommended that the piece entitled
"Winged Iris" submitted by Foster Willey Jr. be selected for this park; and
WHEREAS, a written agreement developed by the City Attorney's office has been
agreed to by Foster Willey Jr.,
NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL FOR THE CITY
OF PLYMOUTH, that the agreement between the City and Foster Willey Jr. for the
development of an original piece of artwork entitled "Winged Iris" is hereby approved
and fiirther, that the Mayor and City Manager are authorized to approve said agreement,
and fiirther, that fiinding for this project will be taken from the Millennium Garden
reserve fiinds.
