RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY TO ACCEPT A
GRANT FROM THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE,
OFFICE OF COMMUNITY ORIENTED POLICING
SERVICES (COPS) — COPS SECURE OUR SCHOOLS
GRANT
WHEREAS, the Police Department had an opportunity to partner with the Robbinsdale
Independent School District 4281 to apply for a Secure Our Schools grant from the U.S.
Department of Justice's COPS Office; and
WHEREAS, staff has been working with the District on various security measures for its
schools and agreed to be the fiscal agent for this grant; and
WHEREAS, the Department was notified the grant application was accepted and the
District was offered a grant for $69,675.00 to help enhance the physical security of its schools.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT HEREBY RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF
THE CITY OF PLYMOUTH, the City Council adopt the resolution accepting the grant by acting
as its fiscal agent for the Robbinsdale Independent School District 4281 by the U.S. Department
of Justice's COPS Office for $69,675.00.
